Grandpa Tex

Grandpas friend Anthony gave him a red cowboy hat as a gift, so that inspired all the kids to get their hats out. Just a bit of silly fun.
Grandpa was still smiling and silly even when the fun ended and he had to "get to work" and wash the dishes! He is a great housekeeper!!!

Atletismo / Track and field

Today Isabella and Lorenzo competed with their track and field team in Lorca. They did GREAT! Bella ran the 60, the 500, and shotput. Renzo did shotput, jvelin, and discus.
Bella took 2'nd in everything. She was very pleased with herself.

fiesta de los caballos

We hit the local fiesta in the next town over
today, I was so excited to get out!
It is a massive celebration of the wars between the Christians and the Moors. All the horses are in competition for the most ornate, they are all hand stiched with gold thread, beautiful, and there is also a race where they run next to the horses up a pretty steep incline, on tight cobblestone roads, all the way to the local castle at the top of the hill. Very exciting!
