getting a quick shot before we left.
No shoving cake in my face!!!!
How do drunk people manage to stand on a moving boat, we will never know, I could hardly manage in heels holding the baby.

My mom's wedding

Ottavio trying to woo Veronica, and doesn't she look lovely!

Who would have ever predicted that my mother would remarry?! Yet she did. It was a typical New England day, overcast, slightly windy and a bit cool for june, but that did not stop the festivities. All were dressed and ready for a day on the Boston harbor.

Isabella, Ottavio and I were the only ones to attend from our family, only because I was certain that at the least, one child would have fallen or have ben pushed overboard. I wanted to relax and enjoy my mother's wedding, even though I was to be the Justice of the Peace for the day. Yes you read that one right. My mother managed to attain a one day permit for me to be able to perform the wedding ceremony. I had never heard of such a thing before and was mortified at the thought. Only the more people I spoke to about it the more I came to understand that this was common practice, and so must the the hip new thing. "only in America" I say!

Julia and Michael.
I say the two prettiest girls on board that day. Isabella and Adriella
Nonno and Nonna, this photo is de ja vu. I swear they are in every outing, family or social, posing just like this!

Fiesta again..

I know that I have said this before, but it is true. The spanish know how to have a party. It was the day that our region became, and so hence a holiday. The actual holiday is not until next week, but there will be no school and so we had the party on Friday.
Every class decided what was on the menu, and because we have so many children we were able to eat various foods in each one of their classes. Everything of course was mouth watering, and nothing was omited, not even the alcohol. It really is unbelievable that on school grounds during school hours the entire faculty and all the parents are drinking, not only beer, but Bella's teacher had Cognac that was over 5o years old.
Really this is why I love the Spanish, the enjoyment and pleasures in life come from gathering and celebrating with friends and family, and they never miss a chance.
